Operations management tasks may differ from one company to the other. The primary factors
responsible for the differences witnessed in the operations management tasks carried out by
each company revolve around the nature of processes undertaken.
Operations management involves a set of tasks which form the ultimate framework
for the successful completion of essential projects by companies. For instance, some of the

concepts of operations management. The transition from the ancient to the modern era

operations management concept in companies was referred to as production management.

associated with manufacturing (Bullard, n.d.).
However, with time, the concept of production management changed due to the

foundation for the implementation of the right strategies.
These forces will affect the operations of the company in the context in various ways. For
instance, to achieve the desired levels of efficiency, the business will use the latest

management and the four theories mentioned above seek to create a culture that supports

Sum, 2014). Further, the continued empowerment of the employees makes it easy to

does not have any positive changes, the specific products will be temporarily removed.
